A Law Student - A head full of Dreams
No this isn't the Coldplay's album, but a common record of fear which perhaps not only me but every undergrad student has/had/have had at some point in his/her college journey.
As a law student, I was terrified of academic writing. The citations, the structure of papers, and the expectations of professors all seemed too much to handle. It was a fear that I carried with me into my second year of law school, and it was a fear that held me back from pursuing it.
But one day, I decided enough was enough. I couldn't let my fear of academic writing and my own self-doubt hold me back any longer. I began to explore the tools and resources available to me, and I slowly but surely began to gain confidence in my writing abilities.
With this newfound confidence, I made the decision to start a legal blog with my peers. I wanted to share my experiences and thoughts with others in the legal community, and engage in meaningful conversations about the issues that mattered most to me.
But that wasn't enough. I wanted to take my passion for law and advocacy to the next level, and I knew that meant participating in moot court. It was a daunting prospect, but I was determined to see it through.
Unfortunately, life had other plans. My schedule was filled with work and other commitments, and I simply couldn't find the time to prepare for moot court. It was frustrating, but I refused to let it get me down. I made a promise to myself to participate in moot court in the next year of law school, no matter what. Despite the setbacks, I refused to give up on my dreams. I continued to work hard and hone my skills, and I never lost sight of what was important to me. Today, I have a head full of dreams, and I know that I will continue to work hard to turn those dreams into a reality.
In conclusion, the journey towards conquering our fears and pursuing our passions is never easy. But with determination, hard work, and a willingness to learn, anything is possible. As a law student, I have learned that it's important to face our fears head on, and to never let self-doubt hold us back from achieving our goals. If you have a head full of dreams, don't let fear stand in your way.Â
Embrace the challenge, push yourself to be better, and never stop pursuing your passions.
